Traffic on the coastal highway can make the short distance to Beirut take much longer than expected, so it is not always the best base for a schedule centred on daily appointments in the city.

Byblos works well for a walkable historic centre, harbour evenings and a slower pace. It is a practical choice for one or two nights on a coastal itinerary, with restaurants and the archaeological site close together.
Stay in Batroun
Batroun is strongest for swimming, beach clubs, restaurants and lively summer weekends. Accommodation ranges from small guesthouses in and around the old town to coastal properties farther out.
